Van Halen's third world tour, and first full headlining tour! Opening acts included Rail, The Cats and Talas. Rail opened 34 shows including a 13-date run billed as the Lost Cities Tour prior to a stop in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
The band's stop in Cincinnati, OH on 4/24 was the first concert held at the Riverfront Coliseum after 11 fans were trampled to death at "The Who" gig there on December 3, 1979. During the 4/24 concert, David Lee Roth through a lit joint into the crowd and was subsequently arrested once the gig had ended.
